Abstract
This paper examines the on-going debate on natural resource governance and restructuring for Nigeria. Since the 1990s, a political economy perspective has been consistently deployed to underline the key elements of good governance against the resource curse syndrome to characterize the paradox of rich natural resource endowments and abject poverty that is emblematic of Nigeria’s natural resource governance. In contrast, this paper attempts a broad categorization to interrogate the clamour and elements of restructuring by citizens as means of national development.
